This bark had been sitting in my house for at least five years, and I don't know how long David Rhodes had it before he gifted it to me or how long the James members had it before they gifted it to David. The James people harvested it, and they knew exactly the way it should be done. There was no pitch, so it was picked the right time of the year. Some was over 12 feet long, so they pulled it off the right tree, one that started branching 12 feet or more up the tree. They debarked it so it wouldn't rot or go wormy in storage and rolled it up on the spot, while it was soft and wet, and gave thier gift in a two foot long bundle, small enough to store and later soak in a moderately sized tub. Perfect! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
