This is a sad picture for me. It was the day I had to put down my beloved horse. We had planned it in the spring that we would not take him through another winter. He was 33 years old and over the past 20 years we had ridden thousands of miles and had many adventures together. I used my two year old colt to walk the old fellow out to his waiting grave on the far side of the field, overlooking the mountains we used to ride. This picture was taken as we went to fetch him.
