After spending a week in Singapore it became my favorite city in the world! Home to around 5.7 million people, Singapore is a cosmopolitan city-state that gained independence from the British in 1965. It is now one of the world’s leading economic centers in shipping and banking. Singapore is also one of the greenest cities in the world. Lush density of plants and trees—some 3 million trees cover Singapore, including a stand of virgin rain forest, rich in biodiversity, right in the heart of the island.
