In the middle of the Øyfjord in the north lies the incredible Husøy island, a tiny islet which is home to Senja's most active fishing community and a few hundred permanent inhabitants.
The oldest houses have been stayed with wires to withstand the fierce winds. Until a few years ago, the island could only be reached by boat.
Today, Husøy is linked to the Mainland by a breakwater and a tunnel.
