Frozen leaves

These "sugar" coated leaves looked so nice, but it was way too windy to get a sharp shot.
Maybe I should have had other settings :-)
Decided to post the pic anyway, I like the color and that beautiful frost.
Have a great weekend everyone!

A fine shot Anitta of those sugared leaves…
Now chance to see this here, we have 18°C since yesterday and stormy wind.

This is a great winter scene , a nice coating of frost against the red leaves
with bokeh that is so appealing to the viewers eyes.
Would make a nice Christmas Card.

Gorgeous capture Anitta! V
A birding photographer taught me to set the shutter speed to a minimum of 1/400 to stop movement. Sometimes the ISO needs to be bumped up to allow for the faster shutter speed, but it has worked for me in breezy situations!

Detail of the the amount of frost to me is important as you have produced beautifully under trying conditions. 'v'

sharpness is no ultimate criteria...content often trumps technical considerations...a rich and evocative image to savour...

I wouldn't have picked it as being exceptionally windy because it is certainly sharp enough. But looking at it with that knowledge I do see your point. Pumping the ISO a bit would have made it faster and therefore sharper BUT... it would have become a different image then. I think that the one that you ended up with, being not quite as sharp as it might have been, is perhaps a bit more welcoming to the eye. The crispness of the ice crystals is still there to a sufficient extent, but the "powder effect" makes it something that you are more likely to want to reach out and touch. Put another way... I think your "settings oversight" landed you with a better image anyway.
