Mars and Saturn, May 2014

Separate stacks of Mars and Saturn, taken on 20th May 2014. The north polar cap is visible on Mars, as are one or two albedo and cloud features. The Cassini Division and a few cloud features are visible on Saturn. Both images taken the same evening, but the planets were not this close together!

Images taken with eyepiece projection on a 16" Lightbridge Dobsonian telescope. Each image is a stack of the best 600 of about 1200 video frames, processed in PIPP and stacked in Registax. full exif
