During our stay, there was visible light all day and local tour companies conduct boat cruise to enable visitors enjoying icebergs in the Ilulissat Icefjord and Disko Bay under the midnight sun. These icebergs exhibit different shades of blue in the shadow and some of them are huge as island. We took three midnight sun boat cruises. We were unable to enter the Icefjord in the first two trips as the mouth of Ilulissat Icefjord was jammed with icebergs. We had our luck in the last trip as a gap was available for the boat to sail to the bays on the north side of the Icefjord.
