"The Gatekeepers" on duty were there to give out information,
free pieces of the saffron fabric and unfurl the fabric,
should it flip over a Gate due to windy weather.
The yellow ball on a stick is just a tool to do the unfurling.
Boy, did we have fun explaining what the ball on a stick is for!
