Yosemite in Spring 2012 - Clearing Storm in late MAY - Shades of Winter

These are images from clearing storms after unusual, sudden snow and hail, Friday, May 25, as seen at Tunnel View in Yosemite.  With the snow on Cathedral Rocks, it was like Winter and even more so just a bit higher up where the trees were white, in late May.  These are ongoing changes in light and features I saw as I chased storm clearings that day, amazed by the quickly changing light and what it chose to highlight.

In between these brief events, we had hours of grayness and invisibility and no actual Tunnel View!

Have also included just a few shots from other days 5/22-5/26 but will make a separate gallery for those days later.

I especially like the contrast between the enormous rocks and the delicate clouds of mist.
There is no such thing as bad weather for a photographer 8-)
