There definitely is. I'm constantly amazed by it. The other day I picked up my Kindle and started to read and was dismayed that my black fonts had turned dark grayish or brownish and thought that maybe there was a problem with my unit with fonts fading so suddenly and mulled getting a replacement for what must be a disquieting defect.
Then about 5 minutes later I realized I had picked up my Kindle 2 instead. They use the same
type of case though not exactly the same size but they're not that far apart so I didn't notice.
I enjoyed reading on my Kindle 2 but did always wish it were a bit darker. Now that I'm used to
the new one, it's a more pronounced effect for me.

Interesting. That looks like clear improvement in the K3.
