I tried NEX cameras and unfortunately, neither the IQ nor the handling was compelling enough to consider purchasing it.

Good test here, and it is here clear how much the d800 draws more and better detail compared to the D3. I was surprised, downed the files and compared them. You should get a NEX-7 and an A77 to compare too, it would be nice to see how much the 24 mpix APSC holds the road with them and even kills some of them. Thanks for this test anyway.
