Our Jacaranda Tree

Adelaida's mother gave us a small branch from her tree almost twenty years ago.
Now our tree is over fifty feet tall. Always a joy to watch it bloom.

Cet arbre est somptueux avec ses fleurs mauves, quel beauté et dommage que je ne puisse pas sentir son parfum.

I adore that purple hue and have always wanted a jacaranda tree but alas i don't seem to live in a conducive climate to grow one. Wonderful textures and color! Enjoy the bloom period!

Yes, aren't they a feast for the eyes. Many have been planted around my home town including my neighbours' gardens. Of course, ours (in the southern hemisphere) flower about six months out of sync with yours, doing so at what is often our driest and hottest time of year.

Lucky you to have one of these trees! Even though I see the mess they leave on the ground, I would still love to have one if I had a yard. V

A magnificent tree and to think you grew it from a branch so long ago Walter.
