One last photo...

Today, the day after the Vet put Diego to sleep and we buried him was even harder.
Couldn't stop thinking about him today. He was such a constant presence in our lives.
I don't how many times he gave me the look in the photo...

I am so sorry, Walter. May the memories guide you through the difficult days.

Bless Diego. So sorry for you. Yes, it gradually feels better, yet I can easily still feel heartbroken thinking of each pet I've had over the years.

Chris put it perfectly...you'll always have the memories and a wonderful collection of lovely photos

Beautiful expression and memory of Diego for you to hold close to your heart. Having been where you now are, words cannot express my most sincere condolences on his loss. Because you've always shared Diego with such great love, a lot of the Pbase community will miss seeing new photos of this remarkable kitty. Through you, we feel like we've gotten to know him. Diego now waits for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

He was such a handsome boy. That is the hardest decision to make.

That makes me so sad to know that you've lost your little friend. I could not have resisted that look either! Quite a beautiful portrait as well.

One more beloved pet has crossed the Rainbow Bridge,
Diego had a wonderful life with you, the sadness will lessen but never the memories.

Chiudi gli occhi e ricordalo dolcemente.
Ricorda il suo miagolio,
ricorda il suo profumo,
Ricorda i giochi che facevi con Diego.
Lui non ti lasciera' mai
Paolo

Burying them is so hard but it does not diminish the love and life shared.

He looks as if he's trying to communicate with you. A fine last image of Diego.

I love that expression and I swear only a cat can give it. This is a wonderful photo of Diego in his prime, beautiful and strong. The first week is the hardest, a sense of unreality. My sincere condolences to you and Adelaida. V

I am very sorry to hear that- your image is a wonderful and loving tribute! ~V~

We had sister litter mates for 20 years and they went about a month apart. It was difficult at first but we had so much joy in knowing them. We hope we gave them the best possible life! That is quite a look. What were you doing that Diego didn't think you should be doing if it didn't involve him?

My condolences Walter...I have two cats and understand your love and part of family
