Not a Bestseller

Those of you who know my photography probably know I have 32 Ship Galleries.
These galleries are for general viewing, but are also used by modellers, modeling clubs and people studying ships.
As I have had some queries regarding books on ships, I have decided to photograph a few and post them. Hopefully that will be useful for someone.

As for the book in the photo, it is about the ships engaged in the Chilean Nitrate (Guano) trade circa 1870-1939 which were primarily German and French. These ships were among the largest sailing ships ever built.
In order to sail from Europe to Chile and back, these ships had to pass Cape Horn twice on each round trip.
