An Icebreaker in San Diego

The 16,000 ton USCGS Healy at the B Street Pier this morning.
One of the largest icebreaking ships in the world.

She is a magnificent sight. My father was the Commander on the icebreaker HMS Labrador when she went through the North West Passage in 1954 and 1956.

It is based up here and it is one of the most advanced ships around! I have seen this ship passing through the Strait. It stands out!
