A popular local small chain of Restaurants, it's always packed at lunch time Mondays through Fridays with local workers. It is a bit quieter on a Saturday morning.
The Daily Special is popular, it has Mortadella, Cotto Salami, Provolone Cheese, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, Pepperoncinis, Oil & Vinegar.
A big Sandwich and a pretty good deal at $5, though I must admit the Vegetarian is more to my liking.
This is the original Restaurant at the corner of India and Hawthorne Streets in the Little Italy neighborhood of San Diego.
