Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED IF DX VR AF-S

I bought this as a walk around lens for the Nikon D300 and it certainly got a lot of use.
The range is very good and it is sharp to about 150mm or so.
Earlier versions of this lens had problems with lens creep. This example did not.
I found it to be most effective in the 18mm-70mm range or so.
I used this lens quite a bit at car shows and there the zoom range came in very handy.

I have the Sigma 18-200 and it sure is a nice vacation lens!

Very interesting... I have one of the older Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 IF-ED DX AF-S lenses. Sometimes I wonder what Nikon was thinking when they went longer on the zoom range.

I would guess that has been one of their more popular lenses over the last several years.
