Sad isn't it that you have to see this as a piece of the past?...I have such fond memories from the 60's and our hangout called The Dub(A & W drive in).Great burgers and shakes.I'll never forget the loud crash though the night of our grad party when we headed there after and I forgot I had the tray with 5 big empty mugs on it and rolled the window down to talk to a friend....oh oh...oops.
Anyway...thanks for the memory!
Great vignette! How many times have I seen that tray of food precariously balanced on the window. From the boxy shape of the car's window, looks like maybe a '55 Chevrolet?? V
Very nice design. Well seen and wonderful capture, Walter! V

Great slice of Americana! We had a place down the street from us when we lived in Fort Smith, AR called Homer and Marthas that had curbside...Best onion rings on the planet. Unfortunately, they sold out to urban sprawl and it only lives in our memories. Thanks for bringin it back! V
White Castle here had window service...when Mrs B and I were young....and before the Bronx became...whatever..and the girls couldn't safely approach the cars anymore.......exceptional shot of this old school service!....+V
I remember these........love the car and we still have a place that does this, exactly like they did 50 years ago when it first opened. Best burgers in town!
