Bought a hat worn by Red Guards in a shop selling Communist memorabila. I have a Stalin, Lenin, and Mao poster, a few caps, a few red books ... and even a naff cigarette lighter that plays "The East is Red" when you flip it open! This shop was in a converted nuclear fallout shelter which is a catacomb under Beijing City. It was built by forcing the local people to dig shelters. Today it is a dimly lit maze, with old fluorescent lighting casting a blue hue and the incessant drip-drip of God-knows-what.
