The world famous Willow Tearooms were designed by Glasgow architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1904, and the rooms and interiors have been beautifully recreated to give a taste of the period. Mackintosh was responsible for modeling the outside of the building as well as the interior, and even the design of the cutlery! The Willow Tearooms are an ideal place to relax after a hard day shopping in Glasgow City Centre, in the surroundings of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The original Willow Tearoom on Sauchiehall Street has been recently joined in 1997 by a second Willow Tea Room on Buchanan Street, across from the Buchanan Galleries shopping centre and adjacent to the Buchanan Street Underground Station and Glasgow Queen Street Train Station. Menus, opening times, and online reservations can be found at the Willow Tearooms website: http://www.willowtearooms.co.uk/
