The Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park, a unit of the George Washington Memorial Parkway, was renovated a few years ago, restored to a brilliance known to dancers many decades ago, and now to new generations of swing, ballroom and tango dancers. Milongas are held here on Sunday evenings between March and October only due to the building's lack of heat or air conditioning. The beautiful, spacious floor makes up for the lack of HVAC and the decor brings one back to a different era.
