Thanks to the efforts of the wonderful Shashin Singh, DC has a weekly milonga on Sunday evenings, from mid-May to early September, outdoors, under the stars, on the hard marble of downtown's Freedom Plaza, a rectangle of open space between City Hall and the National Theater, with an awesome view of the US Capitol Building at the far end of Pennsylvania Avenue.
