Perhaps the busiest single visit to Japan we've made, particularly since I was so intent on visiting Japan's national parks and recreational areas, despite this being very much a personal trip, our vacation to see family and friends. But along the way, we not only visited aunts, uncles, cousins, schoolmates, and ancestors, but some breathtaking natural sights and some unforgettable cultural events, such as our first Japanese baseball game. What a revelation baseball in Japan is! In that gallery I'll explain just why that is, from the perspective of a native New Yorker who grew up rooting for both the Yanks & the Mets.
