This end of the island got scoured by the surf. The fence that was around this site is in a pile behind where this photo was taken. Cyclone north of here generating 10-14 foot swells and, coupled with high tides, we got swamped. Roi-Namur is only 6 feet above sea level. The second tide damaged several trailers and deposited even more rocks.
