2007 - Iceland
Ingólfshöfdi is a cape near Hof in southern Iceland that contains a large seabird colony. It is accessed by crossing the Leirur which is a volcanic sand river delta and bay. A licensed guide is required. Our guide took us across a five mile wet, sandy area in a large trailer pulled by a farm tractor. When the rainbows appeared, he graciously stopped for us.
