The River Adur overspills its banks, here at Bines Bridge near my home in Ashurst and a few miles away at Mock Bridge near Henfield, usually several times a year.... to varying degrees. It can also make the roads across the bridges impassable, often for several days. The river level had gone down again when I took these pictures, but some flood water was left in the fields
