Students wear traditional black suits (traje académico) paired with colorful top hats and canes representing their faculty -
such as yellow for Medicine, light blue for Humanities, red for Law, and orange for Psychology.

A traditional ritual where a student kneels while friends or family tap their top hat three times with a cane for good luck.
