lightening

I've seen this rusting wreck by the A1 at Balderton near Newark for more years than I'd like to remember. I'd often wondered if there was a road nearby to gain easy access and there is! I found it tonight and fired off a couple of shots in almost total darkness, amazingly by underexposing and using a mini tripod this is one of the results. I will most certainly be returning when there's a tad more light!

Wow, here's a blast!
I recognised this lightning as soon as I saw it as the one just off the A1 and I remember this one when it was still complete and untouched - many years ago.

It is a sad sight to see such a fine aircraft go to pieces and become an object of such vandalism. Nice to see someone local as a PAD-er too!

Well, Ian, I'm gonna be a right anorak here. I have a book "Wrecks and Relics" which states that it arrived here 24 October 1983. I remember seeing it from the train too.
Nice shot against the fading light.

long exposure is perfect in the pic cause contribute to give a more mysterious air...wonderful tones and composition...the only defect for me is that i'd like to see complete wings..but sure it's a great shot!!
