UnSlinky

Praline: Hello, I wish to register a complaint . . . Hello? Miss?
Shopkeeper: What do you mean, miss?

Praline: Oh, I'm sorry, I have a cold. I wish to make a complaint.

Shopkeeper: Sorry, we're closing for lunch.

Praline: Never mind that my lad, I wish to complain about this slinky what I purchased not half an hour ago from this very boutique.

Shopkeeper: Oh yes, the Norwegian Blue. What's wrong with it?

Praline: I'll tell you what's wrong with it. It's dead, that's what's wrong with it.

Shopkeeper: No, no it's resting, look!

Praline: Look my lad, I know a dead slinky when I see one and I'm looking at one right now.

Shopkeeper: No, no sir, it's not dead. It's resting.

Hahaa, cool little story...and how true. I remember when I was a child, these used to be made of very springy metal, they wouldn't lose their tension, but they surely got tangled up...never to be untangled again. Very nice shot.

Very appealing and interesting against the black background.

I prefer the metal slinkys (slinkies?) as they crawl down the stairs in a much smoother fashion, but this is a fantastic shot!

Monty Python's slinky....LOL

I've untangled a dozen of those over time. The boys love to abuse their slinkies.
I just hope you don't abuse your parots this way as well.

I haven't liked those darn Slinkys since they started coating them with those frilly colors, (though you captured those colors well here). :-)

Ok I give up! What's a slinky!?

PARROT! PARROT!
Eh, beautiful composition, Ian. Love the simplicity of black background and color...and it is broken!

From piggies to slinkies. What fun you have with your children's toys. This is VERY nicely lit and composed.

Must be some "typically English" joke I don't get. BUT....at least the photo is very cool! Now, give Ellie her toy back!!

Looks a bit "ex" to me, Ian. Now you've taken your photo, you can now take it back!
