Poppy Day

And now for something completely different...

Not in my usual style I know but there's a very good reason The little IXY400 decided to focus on something other than the poppy, this only became apparent when viewed back at base on the monitor. Anyway I was determined to post a poppy today so I copied the layer and applied gaussian blurr to the background so that it would almost match the OOF poppy. I did the usual levels thing and then the watercolour filter... LOL!! Aaagh, I know I will be slated for this by the purists but what the heck, it only happens once in a while and I'm reasonably happy with it... but there's an alternative posting for today which can be seen by CLICKING HERE

Which one stays, you tell me!!

I should also mention that in my desperation to take a poppy photo today Chris crashed his bike into mine when I suddenly hit the brakes when this poppy was spotted. Sorry Chris but you should have been paying attention, and it's nothing to do with me having disc brakes on my bike when yours hasn't!! ok!

I agree it DOES look like a painting . . . so WHY the obsession to foto a poppy today??? I think I prefer this one . the other is reminiscent of my para sail
