My Kinda Gal?

Ha! Well those of you that thought I was an unromantic skinflint by taking a shot of a parking barrier and treating Deb to a take-away meal for our wedding anniversary (as illustrated in YESTERDAY'S POTD) were wrong!! We'd planned to have a day in London, it's just that we couldn't go on the day because the kids have commitments on Saturdays.

Taken in Trafalgar Square after a BMX/Rollerblade exhibition display... Not one but two 10D's on the shoulder of this young lady... has to be my kinda gal!!

More pictures from the day can be seen in my London Gallery by CLICKING HERE

DID you get her number???? NO?? Why not?? {lol} Like the shot for odvious reasons but little things like the sun in her sunglasses make this good Ian - well done m8 :))

Well, the woman has taste, I suppose! I like the red background!!

I bought a 300D kit lens because my D60 with 24-70L was too heavy...
Alas! My tired bones ;-)))

Now, the only thing to verify if you took this picture because of the 10D's only .....

:) I like too!

Hey that's no fair! I don't even have a *single* DSLR yet! I can't decide if that hint of smile/smirk on her face is because she's reviewing an image she's pleased with or that she knows she's being photographed? And the sun image reflected on her sunglasses is a perfect and wonderful touch.

You may have met this young lass , yeah, that's the one!

Excellent shot Ian, a woman with taste - and money! You certainly chose the better day weatherwise, but had you been in London yesterday, you may have met me as I snapped away in Trafalgar Square. And yesterday, you may have also bumped into this young lass whilst visiting Covent Garden. But on your anniversary?

Wonderful capture here Ian, and thanks for sharing about what you and Deb really did for your Anniversary. And really like your London gallery.

Shucks, if I had 2 10Ds I'd carry one with a long zoom and the other with something more on the wide angle side. Then I'd hire a minion to carry my bags and other lenses, and then I'd go to the bank to write a check to pay the interest on all the money I am spending, and (shucks) I guess I am happy with just one 10D.

Jude, she needs 2 10D's to try to overcompensate and make it as good as 1 Nikon D100. DUH!

Seriously, this is a great shot, Ian and funny as well!! Glad you had a great day!

very nice indeed, as for cheap you can allways try the "love is enough" excuse!
there was a similar pair of you women on the nikon section of Dpreview a while ago, i was in lust!

Nice capture, Ian. I just am confused.. why woudl you need 2 10d's.. wouldn't you want another type of camera? I don't know much yet so.. curious. Is it so she has different lenses on at the same time instead of changing?

Anyhow, love the red too. Is this the end of yellow and start of red theme week? lol
