Vidhana Soudha - The Karnataka State Parliament House

The impressive parliament house was built in the 1950s by the then Chief Minister of Mysore, Shri Kengal Hanumanthaiah.

The imposing structure took 5 years to construct (1951-1956) and was built by a pool of unskilled labour comprising of the state's prisoners, after which they were set free upon completion.
