B1: I have labelled each photograph in groups 1-5 with the name of the country it was taken in to show how effective the Geneva protocol is. Bearing in mind cultural differences, these photographs are a testament to the intelligent design of the signs. As you can see, it is not only the colour of the sign that communicates the message. Other important factors for decoding each sign are the shape of the sign and whether the sign depicts linguistics, pictograms or linguistics and pictograms.
