Definition A: A display used to identify or advertise a place of business or a product.

A3, A4 & A5: Although separated by their aesthetics all these photographs show independent businesses advertising themselves. A3 shows modern materials, whilst A4 and A5 show signs drawn by hand. The signs in A4 have been created by sign-writers, which I find an interesting comparison to A5 where there appears to be no structure to the signs.
