Buffaloes' heads, hooves, horns, jaw bones in abattoir, Dharavi, Mumbai

Sometimes photography takes a lot of luck. I was driving past part of Dharavi when I spotted a building that I wanted to photograph. So I stopped the car and walked back to the building, and while I was there I spotted an interesting Muslim structure on the other side of the road. (Today is a holiday for Muslims). To get across to it I had to walk further down the road, and at the spot that I was able to cross there was a large metal shed down an alley which, for some reason I can't explain, caught my attention.

After looking at the Muslim structure I retraced my steps and walked down the alley and peaked through the door. It took a moment for what I was looking at to register. It was a truly staggering sight. One man seemed quite uncomfortable with me taking photographs so I didn't stay long.

I have stared at it too long and now can see there is a cow's head right in the middle, I originally thought they were all fish.
