This is an awesome species that I've wanted for a while... However, to find him, one most
visit Hala Bala -the dangerous and unstable far South of Thailand- or the Malaysian borders
with Singapore, making it almost impossible for the Thailand's List expectations...

This year, one of this fantastic birds started showing at the rich and diverse
Krung Chin Waterfall -safe far South- and for sure I had to go and enjoying getting it!!!

In this National Park, the rangers won't permit the use of flash and the bird comes to a
difficult area... very dark with canopy windows that make hot-illuminated spots in front of him...

Here, I'm showing a few shots in natural light and quite a bit away... Not my best images perhaps...
but who cares with such a special and unique rarity... A real candy to my eyes!
