Malaysian Rail-Babbler -- sp 225

Krung Ching Waterfalls, far South, Thailand

Awesome species that we shoot from a blind and with no flash allowed...

Pretty shy, this forest skulker is found at a site with a really tough
-straight up- walk to reach it... He did not came near the blinds the
first day... so we had to repeat that hard trail next day...

Krung Ching is the northernmost range for this species now -since started
appearing there this year- surprising everybody as a great opportunity!

Taken with a Kenko 1.4X Teleconverter on and NO flash.

Nikon D80 ,Nikkor 300mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR
1/15s f/4.0 at 420.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto
