Cathédrale St. Lazare, AUTUN, Burgundy

Dating from the first half of the twelth century, the Cathedral has suffered fires and other damage, but remains essentially a Norman style church. The twin towers inspired by those of Paray-le-Monial were added in the 19th C. The best feature is the tympanum (***) dating from 1135 and carved by Giselbertus.
