I will eventually have one set of BN power for intermodal trains -- and the latest Athearn Genesis GP50 release was hard to resist. I model 1992-96 so out of the box the unit is pretty much all set -- all I added was Detail West spare knuckles (#196) on the rear pilot. The rest of the story would be told with weathering -- lightening the black on the roof and adding exhaust (after painting the exhaust hatch black), weathering powder on the walkways and then a healthy dose of dusts and brown on the underframe, trucks and pilots. I debated removing the class lights, but since BN is not primary modeling interest I left them alone (don't know why Athearn left them on a Genesis model!).
