Kathie - Beth had a great day in the city. We must bring her around again for more cuddles. She loved the attention of all the lovely ladies at the office. Samori - we've told Beth all the stories (well almost all - Daddy was there so I couldn't tell some of them) and she found them funny - look at the number of pictures of her laughing and smilling! :D Derek - please do take Alan with you to the famous Eyefull in Paris. Make sure you order him "une grande biere" or "une biere serieuse" before the jump. Sarah

I typed this once but it didn't come out so trying again :( Emmigration, new job, new house, new family.......I suppose life must seem pretty boring now. You've done most of the major things in such quick succession. They tell me there's a nice Eyefull in Paris if you fancy bungie jumping as your next adventure. Bet you find it difficult to remember how you filled the hours of each day eh ? You seem a well adjusted family so if I get down your way one day I shall look you up. You must do the same if you ever visit Cairns. In the meantime I will see you in the usual place. Oh, almost forgot to say I enjoyed the photos very much :)

Sarah and Alan: I figure by now you've recovered from those first three weeks of utter chaos and panic. So now I can ask questions, like: Beth seems to be yawning a bunch in your pictures. Are you boring her? Do you need exciting stories for her? Because there's all kinds of stuff that happened at Penn starting Freshman year about Beth's mother that we can recount. Stealing printers in the middle of the night; ungodly sex talk (sorry Alan) at 2:00am; copying off that one guy who for some reason actually did the homework; Nazi professors (like, really); French snobs (no, really, she was kinda snobby); and all sorts of other stuff. I'm betting Beth (and probably Alan) will be mesmerized, and that will cut the yawning right out. You'll get more of that bubbly laughing picture at the end. (Not to mention all those Cathay Pacific stories about airplane pilot talk.) But I'm glad to see and hear the parents are alive. You guys look really great together. We'll try to visit before Beth turns 10. We'll be taking Elias on a world tour of girls, you know, for the arranged marriage.

Thanks all for the lovely messages. Yes, we are very proud of our little girl. She hasn't been too much trouble since she came to this world. Hope she stays that way. We think she's got Daddy's arms and legs, and Mummy's fingers and toes. It would have been terrible if she had gotten Daddy's stubby fingers and toes, and Mummy's short limbs! Can't tell where other parts of her came from though! :D Just kidding there. We are very grateful that she's healthy and that alone is the best gift we could ever ask for for Christmas. Ladies at DChS/LAPASU/IAU - we'll bring Beth in for a visit in the new year. Thanks very much for thinking of us, and for the beautiful flowers and card. My Penn Pals - when are you all coming to Brissy to see us. I won't be travelling your way for at least a couple of years. It's your turn now to come and stay with us for a change. Is that enough hint or what?! Samori - can you please ask if EJ wants another little girlfriend? He can get permanent residency in Australia very easily that way! :D The McGimpseys and The McLeans - We don't know when we'll be travelling to the UK but please do let us know if you'll be coming this way - would love to have you here. Amy - We had a session with Rene yesterday evening and yes she was great. Thanks for the recommendation. My Kei Yan friends - Looks like Janet's passed on the URL to pass onto you all! Janet, thanks a million! My day and night are messed up so phone call any time is fine! If I don't anwser, it would be because I'm either feeding, or changing Beth's nappy, or simply passed out in bed with Beth! Steve - Alan saw your message and immediately asked me to come over to read it. You're too kind! :D My face's all red now! I still feel like a little girl, trying very hard to manage my time. She was born 2:28 am 16th December Australian eastern seaboard time. Umm subtract 15 hours I think for US eastern time. So that would be 1:28pm December 15th your time. I don't care, her birthday is December 16th!!!
