Painting by Cézanne's grave

This year most likely I won't be uploading as many photos
as I did before, because I've decided to get back to painting
and make it again part of my "daily life". I do love to photograph,
but I've discoverd that I can't really be happy if I don't paint or draw.

This is a photo of a painting that I've done in 98 in Aix-En-Provence.
I've decided to put it here in my daily life gallery, because this is
really a part of me and the gallery started as a funny thing of having
some of my daily chores translated into photos. I think this gallery was the one that
"shaped" and most likely in a wrong way, the idea that people who came to see
my photos has of me. It was probably my fault anyway.

My love for the way light and shadow play in photos comes from my passion
for painting and the way I compose photos has a lot to do with it as well.

I am not giving up on photography though, I'm just putting "things" back in place
and being true to my heart, which is the most important thing in life.

Wow Ana, I'm impressed!!! I knew you were a great photographer, but wow,
what can I say? This is a beautiful painting, and I can't blame you for
wanting to spend more time with this. Do post more of these!! Best, Sam

I love that Ana. Why not combine both, as you did here? Show us with photographs what you are painting. Looking forward for more.

Tu pintura muestra un dominio de la luz total. Es bellísima. Estoy agradablemente sorprendido. :) GMV

I can't grab a pencil correctly... Do what you feel to do. Simple! :)

Ana, I too, love to draw and paint. I grabbed hold of the camera so hard because of the immediacy of the creative process. I think what I'm learning, as you have so eloquently already noted, will only make me a better painter. Thanks for letting us see this side of you.
