1000 Oceans

These tears I've cried
I've cried 1000 oceans
And if it seems
I'm floating in the darkness
Well, I can't believe that I would keep
Keep you from flying
And I would cry 1000 more
If that's what it takes
To sail you home
Sail you home
Sail you home

I'm aware what the rules are
But you know that I will run
You know that I will follow you
Over silbury hill
Through the solar field
You know that I will follow you

And if I find you
Will you still remember
Playing at trains
Or does this litte blue ball
Just fade away
Over silbury hill
Through the solar field
You know that I will follow you
I'm aware what the rules are
But you know that I will run
You know that I will follow you

These tears I've cried
I've cried 1000 oceans
And if it seems
I'm floating in the darkness
Well I can't believe that I would keep
Keep you from flying
So I will cry 1000 more
If that's what it takes
To sail you home
Sail you home
Sail you home
Sail
Sail you home

Tori Amos from the "To Venus and back" CD

If I died today, this Tori Amos song would certainly be in the top 3 of the ones I've heard more.
If I dreamt of the future tonight, I am sure I would see myself listening to it many years from now...
Songs are like this sometimes, surprising us with a carbon copy of our hearts and
then stay within forever, without even asking for permission.
I am happy that this one chose to live within me.

People have told me that this is a sad song. I disagree.
It just make us stay silent and listen carefully :)

Beautifully composed, moody image Ana! My lady is a huge Tori Amos fan.
Perfect match to the image.

The picture and the song fit so perfectly. That cross is for pain and beauty at the same time.

When the last kiss falls from your lips.
when the final breath passes from this mortal day.
Will it be as a never departing winter sleep?
Will it be as midnight eyes forever closed of stars?
And even though this life, this love dangles
Over velvet precipice,I believe there is no end,
To either ourselves or the beyond.
Within the eternal round, that infinite distance by man's measure
Is finite and obtainable by my desire to be with you always.
