What's happening?

Something really unusual happened this Monday at the movies...
Everyone was already looking at the watch and thinking why
isn't the film already on... when suddendly a man comes in
and says: ... We are very sorry to inform that there is a
problem with the projector and we might not be able to fix it...
After hearing all the possibilities everyone there decided to
wait for a while more to see if they could fit it :)

Suddendly, everyone looks up at the same time as the projector
was being opened with a loud bang... Well.. not everyone :)
I was already with my little kodak clicking this crazy moment away!
I think that I've became quite addicted to Photography this year
and I've realised it more than ever when everyone looked at a crazy girl
sitting in the dark of a movie theater trying to make photos.
...Could I get worse??? We'll see next year ;)

PS: For those who wonder... They fixed it!!

I always love reading your captions,Ana!
I love the expressions in this image. I was doing the same thing one day taking my little boy to the movies. I was not excited about the movie at all but hoping to take photos of the movie-goers while the movie is playing but unfortunately for me,I was too chicken to attempt to take any pics. That was a year ago, maybe I'm brave enough now. You'll be the first to know if I succeed!

Dramatic, movie-like capture Ana! Great angle, and expressions...this is a "Thriller!" :)

One hundred eyes lit as startled deer stars in dark stillness.Wondering, blinking like morse code or fireflies in distress.Among a sea of sighs and arms that creak uneasily in repose like old oaks that feel the twinge of frost.Perched as little birds not yet asleep in their nest of twigs.Something rustles.Click! Click! Click!Like the heels of anxious footsteps I hear the thief.Stealing the surprise from our grey sleepy eyes.

Be sure people consider you weird! I know this feeling... We are infected by a virus and the rest of this world tolerate us... LOL!!! Good they fix it, so you don't get in evidence so much! Happy New Year!!!

As the others observed, there are worse things to get worse next year than your photographic urges. In fact, we might even benefit from a worsening if that leads to more images from you for us on PBase to look at.

Was the movie worth fixing the projector? The photo indicates great expectations on part of the moviegoers and a great anxiety that the movie may not happen that Monday.

Um Muito Feliz Ano Novo

Great capture! Ana, you sure know how to make lemonade out of lemons...lol. Everyone else was probably sitting there brooding, and you were making art! Bravo! I for one, am glad you are addicted. ;-)

Odd situation, interesting picture. Here is a case study of what bloody rules are good for : to bother us, that´s all.I like this "marginal" picture,
Regards and be happy in 2006...if you can
