Time to think

This photo of my sister taken yesterday at a cafe with my still faithful Kodak,
made me think about the fact that last year around this time I was going through
the manual of this camera, trying to see how it worked... My free times were still
devoted to painting and drawing and I was far from expecting that the little camera
that I was holding, in my hands was about to change my life forever and in such
amazing ways that I could never have imagined possible...
How can a little camera change one's life so much?

Hi Ana, from your intrude I gather you´re new in pics, you are from paint. In my opinion, paint still has its place, photograph is sort of cousin, but they both can live together. The pleasure in paint, IMO, is far greater than in pics, because in paint we do all. But , paint is not , could not be an option, but a Gods´s gift. Regards jorge

Powerful crop, Ana. By drawing the edge through her face, you make her presence seem temporary -- as if she will soon get up and leave us. You make much of the camera itself in your caption, but as Sammy said, the cameras you use are really quite secondary to the skill and vision of the woman who uses them. To measure the changes in your life by a camera is absurd -- the great changes in your life and vision have come because of your own passion, intelligence, curiosity, daring, and skill. The tools are incidental.

Fallen again from the frame of a momento.It is unfair my Dear, that pleasure is as air that leaks away from our grasp.I try to hold it as my breath like a balloon swelling full and dizzy.But inextricably I am punished to let go,at the last chance.Because there is no control.Just lament in knowing that we must exhale into the next second.But I do not want to.For fear of losing you and our heartness.Do you think it is wrong of me for wanting to die right now in the greatest of love of being with you? Rather than gamble in the uncertainty of you turning away in the next glance? How very true...my life changing even with my camera came when I got my DSLR. I can't imagine time now when I don't have my camera with me. You have made good use of this little camera and I agree with Sammy it's not the equipment it's definately the photographer :).

Cool shot, Ana! Yes, that little Kodak in YOUR hands really impressed me when the first time stumbled upon your galleries, and it still does. You are proof that it really is the photographer, not just the equipment. By the way, I think you may have found your next great model, and she's sitting there having coffee with you :-)
