A dog's nose is said to be a million times more sensitive than a human nose
(some sources say a thousand, some say forty thousand, but who's counting?).
Each dog's nose is unique and a dog's noseprint can be used for identification
like a human fingerprint (if you can get the dog to sit still while his
noseprint taken. . . ). A "dog's nose" is also a drink made with 12 parts
pilsner beer or ale to one part gin, but neither Kona nor I have ever tasted one.
Anyway, here's a shot of Kona's nose, taken this afternoon as he hung out on the
living room rug.
