My parents moved to Florida in 1962 primarily for my father’s health. They lived in a rented bungalow in Hollywood, Florida, for a year, then moved to Miami Beach so that my mother could be closer to her job as a clerk in a Miami Beach bank. The Florida lifestyle did not suit either of them and in 1964 they moved back up north, this time to New York City. My mother's sister Felicia and her (second) husband, Edward, who were living in New York at the time, came to visit in late 1963 and are shown with my parents and sister Judy in this photo.
