Also being a Muslim country, their laws are very strict and they mean it. In fact when we were there, two Australian kids were caught with a bag of grass and they were sentenced to death. Everyone tried to intervene, including the American Embassy and the Australian Embassy. But, the Malaysians said, “This is our country and our laws. They are well publicized and they should know that death is the punishment for having drugs. And they hung them!! The lesson to be learned by all youths traveling abroad is that when you are in another country you MUST obey the laws of that country or suffer the penalties they impose.
