Beaver Recon of State Forest between Assabet Refuge and Bruen Road

Oct 10, 2010 AKT Beaver Recon of State Forest south of Hudson Road, beginning across from the Refuge parking lot. We explored the edge of the main wetland down it's East side and around the South end and then out to Bruen Road. Noted numerous large tupelo trees that had been girded at least prior to this Spring's floods and yet had leaves. Two small ponds south of wetland were mostly dry and vegetated. This has been a very dry summer. Karen, Lydia, Nancy and Liz. Photos by Liz
