Well, it looked OK in the viewfinder. However I think I was expecting a bit much of the 12-40 at this range.

I didn't really have a good idea for a photo today, especially as the forecast had been for it to be grey and overcast.

Yes, as you can see the Weather Bureau lied to us again. It was hot and humid and generally blegh.

Such conditions do not inspire great photography.

Thus I decided to just grab this shot of a hibiscus in flower from the garden.

It's a lot softer than I wanted it to be outside the very narrow depth of field, but... not every photo will be a work of art.
