... get out the sparingly used macro lens and shoot them.
I wasn't quite prepared to consign my 2025 gallery to having gaps on its second day. I had already planned a subject for today.
The problem was that I needed sunshine.
There was no shortage of that yesterday, as the shot of my friend Rupert showed. But as we were driving back from that visit I started to hear "pttit.... pttitt... pttitt!" on the windscreen as droplets of water appeared.
"Is that rain?", I ask, looking at the sky and still seeing vast stretches of blue with only a few clouds.
"Yep."
And sure enough, the drops and spots became torrential. That evening there was thunder loud enough to suggest that Thor was redecorating the foundations of Asgard. The rain fell, and the cold winds blew giving a respite from the summer heat.
However this morning, the sky was still covered in grey and the temperatures were... well, comfortable at least, rather than yesterday's oven-like ones. The cloud hung around all day, and that screwed my plans for that shot which will have to shuffle back in the queue.
(But not for long. By the weekend we'll be back to sun-blasted, 30+ degree days which should give me the light I need.)
But for today, I just relied on the old saw of life handing you lemons and making lemonade. Or in this case, lemon macro photos. Same concept, different levels of refreshingness.
That is, until I went looking for the lemon juicer and couldn't find the damn thing... but that's a different story.
Oh, in other news as some viewers may be aware there is a glitch in PBase through which it is not showing newly created galleries in the "Recently Updated" list. A bug or glitch in PBase. Wow, who would have imagined it.
